DAY 2
After a hearty breakfast at Zreiba Hotel, we’ll set off on our journey deep into the heart of the Algerian Sahara. As we leave the comforts of the town behind, the landscape begins to shift, at first, rugged rock formations dominate the scenery, showcasing the raw beauty of the desert’s untamed terrain.
As we venture further, the transition becomes more evident. The rocky outcrops gradually give way to a mesmerizing blend of stone and sand, until rolling dunes start to emerge on the horizon. This striking transformation signals our approach to El Birdj, a breathtaking expanse of golden dunes sculpted by the wind.
Upon arrival, we’ll set up our first desert camp, immersing ourselves fully in the tranquility of the vast wilderness. As the sun begins to set, casting warm hues over the sand, we’ll find ourselves perfectly positioned near our first photography location of the tour, or ready to capture the magic of the desert as night falls.
DAY 3
We’ll start the day by capturing the breathtaking sunrise over the dunes of El Birdj, where the soft morning light paints the desert in warm golden tones. After an early photography session, we’ll enjoy breakfast at our campsite before setting off on the next leg of our adventure.
Traveling in 4x4 vehicles, we’ll navigate through an endless sea of sand, weaving between towering dunes as we make our way to one of the most striking photography locations of the tour, Moulanaga. This incredible spot is known for its golden sands and uniquely sculpted rock formations, offering a stunning contrast between the smooth dunes and rugged desert terrain.
As we arrive, we’ll take time to explore and immerse ourselves in the landscape, setting the stage for another unforgettable day of photography in the heart of the Algerian Sahara.
DAY 4
As the sun rises over Moulanaga, we’ll capture the first light of the day painting the dramatic landscape before enjoying a hearty breakfast in the tranquility of the desert. From there, we’ll continue our journey to one of the most mesmerizing locations in the Algerian Sahara Imsnega.
This extraordinary site is defined by its striking contrast of deep crimson sand dunes and ancient volcanic black rocks, creating a surreal and otherworldly atmosphere. Arriving in the afternoon, we’ll set up camp near our shooting location, ensuring we’re perfectly positioned to make the most of the golden hour as the sun dips behind the dunes.

As night falls, the true magic of Imsnega reveals itself. With zero light pollution, the sky comes alive with millions of stars, offering an incredible opportunity to photograph the Milky Way in all its brilliance. Framed by the dramatic desert landscape, this will be an unforgettable night of astrophotography beneath one of the clearest night skies in the world
DAY 5
In the morning we will begin our journey from the enchanting region of Imsnega, where we will enjoy a beautiful sunrise and a delightful breakfast. From there, we continue our adventure in 4x4 vehicles towards Tin Merzouga, home to the highest sand dunes in the Tadrart Rouge desert.
Along the way, we will make a stop to capture an extraordinary rock formation that strikingly resembles the World Cup trophy. After this brief but fascinating stop, we will proceed to Tin Merzouga, arriving before midday.
Upon arrival, we will enjoy lunch in this breathtaking landscape before immersing ourselves in an afternoon of exploration. Tin Merzouga offers countless compositions for both sunrise and sunset photography, with its ever-changing hues of sand, shifting from bright red to deep crimson as the sunlight transforms the desert’s atmosphere. This surreal scenery will provide endless opportunities to capture the beauty of Tadrart Rouge in its most magical light.
DAY 6
In the morning, after enjoying sunrise and breakfast in Tin Merzouga, we will continue our journey towards Ouanzawaten, a mesmerizing location with pale yellow sands that create a stunning contrast with the surrounding landscape. This spot offers incredible opportunities for capturing the sunset.
We will spend the night camping under the stars, fully immersed in the tranquility of the desert
DAY 7
In the morning, after capturing the sunrise and enjoying breakfast in Ouanzawaten, we will take a different route back, allowing us to explore new landscapes along the way.
Our first stop will be Intihek, a natural arch resembling the shape of the African continent, offering unique framing opportunities for photography. We will then visit ancient rock engravings, dating back more than 10,000 years, providing a glimpse into the rich history of the region. As we continue our journey, we will gradually make our way to Adjlati, where we will spend our final night in the Tadrart Desert.
The next day, we will transition to the other side of Djanet’s desert, entering Admer, a landscape that is entirely different from Tadrart, offering a new visual experience.
 DAY 8
As the first light of dawn illuminates the desert, we capture the sunrise and enjoying a leisurely breakfast. Then, we begin our journey back to Djanet, retracing our path through the vast, golden landscapes. By late morning, we arrive at Zeriba Hotel, where a well-deserved break awaits us. Here, we can relax and enjoy a traditional lunch, a welcome moment of comfort after our days immersed in the wilderness.
In the afternoon, a new adventure unfolds. At 2:30 PM, we set off toward Erg Admer, an endless expanse of rolling dunes and striking rock formations. After an exhilarating one-hour drive through the sand in our 4x4 vehicles, we reach Adyek, also known as the Stone Forest. Towering black rock formations rise dramatically from the soft orange dunes, creating a surreal and almost otherworldly landscape. As the light shifts, the contrast between shadow and sun paints the scene in ever-changing tones, offering countless opportunities for creative photography.
As the sun begins its descent, the rocks and dunes glow with rich, warm hues, setting the stage for a breathtaking sunset shoot. Then, as night falls, we prepare for an unforgettable astrophotography session. With no light pollution, the sky above Adyek transforms into a dazzling canvas of stars, making it an ideal setting for capturing the Milky Way and mesmerizing star trails. Spending the night beneath this vast, starlit sky will be the perfect way to end this extraordinary day, one last moment of wonder before our journey continues.
DAY 9
In the morning, after capturing the captivating sunrise and enjoying breakfast in Adyek, we set off on our next adventure toward Tikoubaouin. This region stands in stark contrast to the Stone Forest of Adayek, boasting enormous rock formations that rise from an arid, sandy desert, offering a dramatic backdrop that inspires endless creative compositions.
As the day unfolds, our journey leads us to a striking natural arch where the setting sun casts a warm, golden glow on the rugged landscape, an ideal moment for a breathtaking sunset shoot.
When night falls, we’ll immerse ourselves in the enchanting atmosphere of Tikoubaouin. Under a sky illuminated by countless stars, the soothing strains of the touareg guitar and the comforting ritual of savoring traditional desert tea will elevate the experience into a magical celebration of the desert’s mystique. And remember, this is just one chapter of our adventure, many more captivating moments await us in the days ahead.
DAY 10
after capturing the sunrise and enjoying our usual breakfast, we set off toward Issendilen Canyon to photograph its stunning formations and enjoy lunch on-site. Afterwards, we head to Erg Admer, where the landscape is completely different from everything we’ve seen so far. Here, endless sand dunes stretch as far as the eye can see, providing a dramatic backdrop for our adventure. We’ll spend time photographing the camels and capturing the sunset over the crests of the dunes.
We’ll round off our day with a musical evening featuring the soothing sounds of the guitar accompanied by a cup of traditional desert tea. Moreover, note that this will be our last night in the Djanet desert, a perfect opportunity to relish the magic of a star-filled sky and create memories that will last a lifetime.
DAY 11
In the morning, after capturing the breathtaking sunrise and enjoying our customary breakfast, we’ll set off on our return journey to Zeriba Hotel, an opportunity to unwind after an exhilarating 10-day desert adventure. Once we’ve taken a well-deserved pause and organized our gear, we’ll head to the local market in Djanet, where you can select unique souvenirs to forever commemorate our journey.
As the day gives way to evening, we’ll reconvene for a heartfelt farewell dinner in Djanet, sharing memories and reflecting on our experiences. Following this final meal, we’ll make our way to the airport for our flight to Algiers, where our last night awaits at Hayatt Regancy Hotel, just a convenient five-minute drive from the airport
